These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Help with Home Service platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by Help with Home Service LLC ("HWHS," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
HWHS is a home management platform that connects homeowners with independent contractors for home services. HWHS sets service pricing, processes payments, facilitates contractor matching, and maintains Home Records. HWHS is not a contractor and does not perform home services directly.
Booking & Payment: When you book a service through HWHS, you agree to prepay the full quoted price. Payment is processed through Stripe and held by HWHS until you confirm the job is complete. Contractor payout is released within 24 hours of your confirmation.
Confirmation: After a job is completed, you will be asked to confirm completion. If there is an issue with the work, contact HWHS before confirming. Once confirmed, the contractor payout is released and cannot be reversed through HWHS.
Cancellation: You may cancel a booked service before the contractor has been dispatched for a full refund. Cancellations after dispatch may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Independent Contractor Status: Contractors on the HWHS platform are independent contractors, not employees of HWHS. HWHS does not control the manner or method of work performed by contractors.
Pricing: HWHS sets service pricing. By accepting a job through the platform, the contractor agrees to perform the work at the quoted price. Contractors may not negotiate price with or collect payment from homeowners.
Escalation Protocol: If a contractor discovers additional work needed during a job, the contractor must report the finding to HWHS and complete the original job as booked. Contractors may not solicit additional work directly from homeowners.
Subscription: Contractors pay a monthly subscription fee to participate on the platform. Fee details are provided during onboarding.
Home Records are maintained by HWHS based on verified job completions. Records are attached to property addresses. Homeowners control who can access their Home Record. HWHS makes reasonable efforts to ensure record accuracy but does not guarantee completeness for services performed outside the platform.
HWHS facilitates connections between homeowners and independent contractors. HWHS is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of work performed by contractors. HWHS is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform or services obtained through it.
If a dispute arises between a homeowner and a contractor, HWHS will make reasonable efforts to facilitate resolution. However, HWHS is not a party to the service agreement between homeowner and contractor and is not obligated to resolve disputes.
Users may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, misrepresent their identity or qualifications, interfere with the Platform's operation, attempt to circumvent HWHS pricing or payment systems, or solicit business outside the Platform for jobs originated through HWHS.
The HWHS name, logo, brand materials, website design, and content are the property of Help with Home Service LLC. Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute HWHS materials without written permission.
HWHS reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Johnson County, Indiana.
